Spring & Summer Camps

Announcing our new Spring Break Camp for March: Oceans and Rivers! See blog post for more info.

Summer Camps are held Monday-Friday, 9 am to 1:00 pm. Our theme is pioneer homesteading, as in the books “Little House on the Prairie.” Each day will provide some structured learning activities, arts and crafts, and play time. Some of our favorite activites are: brushing the pony, playing school in our little schoolhouse, churning butter, grinding grain, washing clothes on the washboard, making hand cranked ice cream, and learning pioneer games.

Camps remain on site of the Alvord Museum, are pre-pay only, and sack lunch must be provided each day for your child. Ages 6-10 are accepted for this camp. Pre-registration is required to attend. If you have any special needs for your child we ask you to let us know in advance. Carpools are often arranged by the participants.

You must call early to reserve your spot in camp. The camps will only have 10 kids so they fill up quickly.

  1. I have heard great things about the camp and am very interested for my son who will just be turning 6. Do you know yet what the dates will be for summer camps? We live in Austin (my sister is in Eugene) so need to organize as soon as possible.

    Many thanks! Jordana Raiskin jorrai@sbcglobal.net

    • Thanks for your comment! I will be planning next summer’s camps around February. Make sure you sign up for our newsletter so you can be notified via email as soon as those dates go public. We hope to see you in camp!
